April 2024 Vendor of the Month

How long have you been a farmer, and how long have you been with Monroe Farmers Market?

Nine-year farmer.

Six years with Monroe Farmers Market.

What would you like our community to know about your business?

We are a two-person operation. Ryan and I have built the farm to run with just two people. This means we can take the time to know our animals and the land. That is what I enjoy the most about this lifestyle: I know so deeply everything we grow and the land on which it is grown.

What do you sell?

  1. Mushrooms, tinctures, jerky.
  2. Pork
  3. Eggs
  4. Wood cutting boards and hand-carved spoons made from wood milled on our farm.

Why are you a Monroe Farmers Market vendor?

We love our customers! The patrons are all so engaged and knowledgeable. They understand how hard farming can be and show up rain, snow, or shine. I love Saturday mornings!

Please share one memorable experience you’ve had with our Monroe Farmers Market community.

We started handing out little stickers to kids (and adults) about two years ago, and I love how excited they get. Something so small makes everyone so happy. I also love the vibe on a Saturday morning when all our regular customers visit “their” stands. A talk with “their” farmer makes me so happy.
